Architecture 2B were commissioned by he-re to redevelop their building on this busy junction in Leeds. Christened ‘Roppongi’ after the Roppongi district of Tokyo, this bold and thought-provoking design creates 5 compact apartments above the remodeled he-re letting office. The design draws inspiration from the thousands of students which pass this building on their way to the City’s two universities, and the creativity, energy, and ground-breaking research that takes place there. The building will generate its own energy through the combination of wind turbines, photo-voltaic panels and highly insulated facades.
