Located close to the heart of Scunthorpe, this project replaces a large industrial unit that has dominated its residential context for years. The concept for this scheme was to explore the issue of ‘street’, both in the way the building continues the adjacent terrace, and in the way residents circulate within it. A large covered central space, or street, provides access to each apartment, and gives the building a strong focus and identity.
