bardsey
architecture 2B were commissioned by the client to create a stunning family home in the greenbelt area of Bardsey, North Leeds. The replacement 5 bedroomed, 2 storey house, a contemporary take on a traditional barn conversion, is arranged like a letter ‘H’ with the main link element being an impressive two-storey entrance hall and gallery space which takes guests from the entrance courtyard at the front of the house to the private courtyard and garden area to the west of the house. The family rooms are situated to enjoy the benefit of the sun in the afternoon/evening while the formal rooms are located on the northern side of the house to enjoy the expansive views of the countryside and the evening sun on the adjoining terraced area. The master bedroom has a balcony area with glass balustrading so the occupants have unhindered views of the surrounding area.
